Jonas from Sweden favors Chris Webber's sneakers and supports the little people when he shops for sneaks.

Your first sneakers?
A swedish running shoe called Lejon (Lion), darkblue, made of canvas and nylon. I hated them soo much and was crying my eyes out for clogs which was the thing to wear late 70s in Sweden. My mother wouldn't let me though so I was stuck with Lejon and since then I have been wearing sneakers in a serious way. My second pair was Nike Tennis white w/ light blue swoosh, I loved them!

Where do you shop for sneakers?
Anywhere, but as I'm not into retro sneakers I usually shop at major sports stores. Skateboard shoes should be shopped in small skate-stores though.

Why are sneakers important?
When you realise that you are what you wear, you'll soon understand that sneakers are very important. Too bad a lot of people haven't understood this yet which means they don't care what you're walking/running/hanging in! Hence, Sneakerfreaks are not appriceated for their efforts, but we don't care, sneakerfreaking is personal business..

Your best sneaker memory?
Coming home from Singapore w/ my new pair of Nike Air CW II. They were not yet out in Sweden at that time and I had a month of being the only guy at the gym w/ those shoes, it was great fun.

How many?
10 pairs, tend to throw them away when broken

Top sneaker of all time
I have to name two, Nike Air Chris Webber black/blue 95 and Nike Air Huarache white/red. The CW basketball shoe because of its looks and all my memories of them. I have used them a lot for aerobics, basketball and everyday use. Coolest thing is that they look good with jeans, short pants, whatever you're wearing really. I think I look much more athletic wearing them compared w/other shoes. The Huarache is great because its an affordable running-shoe with the looks and function of dirty price airmax's. I do a lot of running and they never let me down! Don't forget to buy different brands! Otherwise we will end up with a stupid oligopoly situation which only be good for Nike, Adidas and Reebok. We don't want that, do we?

How do you clean your sneaks?
Depends on which sneaker where discussing. Different sneakers have different needs and I try to clean them in a way that preserves the fabrics but still make them shine! Brand new sneakers are always the best though!

Sneakers you are looking forward to?
I would love it if Nike made a Tiger Woods sneaker. It would be a very nice cross-trainer used by Mr. Woods and me when not playing golf!
